Jared caught the shutterbug (or it caught him) back in 2014 on a beach in Miami, Florida. He and his wife had just purchased their first digital camera, and once he got a hold of it she had a tough time getting it back!

He tinkered around with photography for several years as a hobby, and in late 2019 he decided to pursue it as a full-time career. Then the whole world shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic He took advantage of that time to read, study and practice the craft of photography. During that time he honed his skills, and by the time 2021 came around he was ready for his next steps.

Early that year he landed his first big break with the new downtown Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. During the building phase of the hospital, he was hired to photograph local Fort Wayne landmarks to be printed and displayed throughout the new hospital. Jared remembers, "At first, I thought it was a friend pulling a prank.  Then I googled the interior design firm (who hired me) and realized this was legit!  Then the nerves kicked in!"

From that point on the opportunities kept coming. Jared's work can be seen in a multitude of businesses, restaurants, offices and hospitals in Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas. He is a regular contributor to Fort Wayne Magazine, and is represented locally by Gallery K.

His many styles of photography include portraiture, event photography, abstract, nature, architecture, macro and landscape. When asked how he feels about his early success in the field of photography, Jared remarks "I'm just really thankful that I get to do what I love for a living.  Sometimes I have to pinch myself because it doesn't seem real, but I know it is...and it's pretty awesome."
